Thursday, February 10, 2005 ~ Mid Winter Update

Groundhog’s Day has come and gone and wouldn’t you know it, that darned groundhog saw his shadow! I guess that means six more weeks of winter, but let’s hope the groundhog is wrong. I think we’ve had more snow and ice in the month of January than we had all last winter. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some spring cheer!!

Hosta 'White Feather'What better way to chase away the winter blah’s that by visiting the 3rd annual Landscape & Garden Expo in Cedar Rapids? The Landscape & Garden Expo is returning to the Cedar Rapids Exhibition Center (4500 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA) on March 5th and 6th. We will be setting up a display featuring a few of the new things we’ll have this spring. We’d love to have you stop and see us!!

A wide variety of seminars are scheduled hourly throughout the weekend. Show hours are as follows:

Saturday, March 5, 10 am to 6 pm
Sunday, March 6, 10 am to 4 pm

If you haven’t surfed our website recently, be sure to check out our 2005 Hosta Listing. We’ve got some neat new hostas for spring including the one pictured here, ‘White Feather’.

Plans are also underway for our annual Spring In The Country Open House. Keep watching our website for more details on our open house, as well as other events coming to In The Country.
